The web app already existed. My job was to put it in people's pockets.

I joined Vervent in South Dakota, then still Total Card, as the team's only React Native engineer. I built the mobile app from the ground up, owning frontend architecture, native integrations, and the release pipeline.

A lot of the work happened outside the editor. The app ran through compliance, product, and leadership as much as it ran through engineering.

I gathered requirements with business and product stakeholders, then worked cross-functionally with design and backend developers to turn those requirements into shipped features. I presented progress to senior leadership with remote offices dialed in, then walked those same stakeholders through acceptance testing until they signed off.

I wasn't just building the app. I was involved from requirements through release.
